August | IRL
last month of summer - let's make the most of it!
August is jam packed with so many fun events and summer activities around Seattle that we have made sure to carefully select our pop-up schedule for the month. We are taking the first weekend off, and will be back on August 10th - starting with a special event at Storied at Home on Queen Anne.
Take a scroll to learn about each event - and make plans to swing by the one(s) that strike your fancy! It feels like we have a vibe for everyone - whether you want to do a Saturday morning coffee shop date, or eat and shop your way through a relaxing Sunday market.
In the meantime, Beanie season is year-round and we’ve been selling a handful at each of our summer markets, so we will be sure to have a few on-hand in case you need one for that beach camping trip, chilly lake morning or mountain hike.
Our fall & winter schedule is almost fully planned out however we have a little bit of room to add a few additional events around the PNW. We’d love to pop-up at your boutique, wine bar or cafe with our Beanies + Vintage. Please email me to chat!
Sunday August 10th from 10am - 3pm at Storied at Home
Queen Anne | 2220 Queen Anne Ave N, Seattle, WA 98109
Jana, owner of Storied at Home is creating something really special in Queen Anne. It’s more than just a home decor store - it’s a third space. It’s a place to stop in, slow down and take it all in. She just launched the cafe part of her business and offers coffee and treats from Maddy’s Bake Shop. Her store is located in an old craftsman house right on Queen Anne Ave with a lovely front patio to hang out, work or catch up with a friend.
Join us on Sunday to celebrate her space with the Storied Summer Marketplace - there will be a handful of vendors ( myself included ) popping up with vintage, flowers, treats and more. Come enjoy a sunny relaxing Sunday with us, eat, mingle and support our Queen Anne small business community!
Across the way you will find Millie - and next door How to Cook a Wolf ( open for brunch ). One more block down the street you can check out the new Cornelly Pizza, and count down the days till Salt & Straw opens on the corner.
Saturday August 30th from 10am - 2pm at Homage Coffee
Ballard | 5000 20th Ave NW, Seattle, WA 98107
I invite you to come hang with me at Homage - Ballard’s newest little coffee shop! Located in a breathtaking corner brick building - Homage is right on Ballard Ave, a little South of where the Farmer’s market starts.
Clinton and Rachel are hosting us monthly - and we will be out front every last saturday with fresh curated vintage ( clothing for men + women ), our hand-knit Beanies, collected and found objects, and other small goods ( aka socks + hair clips ).
I am SO proud of my friends Rachel & Clinton for bringing their dream of owning a coffee shop / cafe to life. Rachel is a extremely talented ceramicist and makes all the mugs for the cafe. You can even shop a curated selected of her ceramics in store ( I own a handful of her mugs ). Check out Hot Cold Heavy Light on Instagram to see her work.
Be sure to make a plan to swing on by - check out the pieces you have been eyeing online, and chat about life. Every month I have met REALLY lovely people here - you can tell that Rachel & Clinton bring a very positive and special vibe to Ballard.
Check out our full 2025 event calendar - we are currently seeking spaces to host events in new neighborhoods from Seattle to Portland and Northern California.
Our goal for this up-coming winter season is to add at least 5 new stockists to our Beanie Wholesale accounts - with a major focus on San Francisco, Chicago, Vancouver, Milwaukee and Toronto. If you have a favorite boutique in one of these cities ( or maybe a different one ) we’d love to know about it. We pay a commission for any new accounts opened if you connect us directly with someone you know. Please email your ideas!
Michelle Moore is a Seattle-based creative, vintage curator, photographer, writer and educator. You can catch her at an up-coming pop-up, swing by on a night she’s hosting at the restaurant in Ballard, order one of her hand-knit Beanies, or hire her to host & plan your next event.
connecting you with good clothes + good people.
